Bookings, except for late bookings, are confirmed on the condition that a non-refundable deposit, of a minimum of 35% of the total package price, is paid to Fifth Avenue 4×4 Adventure Tours trading as East Cape Tours and Safaris within 24 hours of confirmation of your bookings. You will be advised at the time of booking what payment is required for your particular chosen travel arrangements. *Please note that many service providers require 100% pre-payment within 24 hour of confirmation nowadays. The balance of the cost of your travel arrangements must be paid no less than nine weeks prior to departure. If your booking is made within nine weeks of departure, the total cost of your travel arrangements must be paid at the time of booking.
The air/train fare and taxes quoted are current and are subject to change without prior warning should the airline or train travel provider impose an increase in rates for any reason. Should the fare quoted not be available at the time of booking, the next applicable fare will be booked and amended costs advised accordingly. Please note that fares may increase between time of booking, time of payment and the ticket being issued. Fifth Avenue 4×4 Adventure Tours trading as East Cape Tours and Safaris cannot be held responsible should airlines or railway operators discontinue flights or train journeys on certain routings or change scheduled timetables resulting in missed connections. Should an amendment in routing or itinerary be necessary, any additional costs incurred will not be borne by Fifth Avenue 4×4 Adventure Tours trading as East Cape Tours and Safaris. Airfares and train fares are subject to the prices and conditions quoted by the particular airlines and/or railways and cannot be guaranteed by Fifth Avenue 4×4 Adventure Tours trading as East Cape Tours and Safaris. The onus is on the agent and the passenger to check that there have been no changes in these prices before making final payment thereof.
Methods of Payment
Fifth Avenue Adventure Tours, trading as East Cape Tours and Safaris, confirm that we accept payment via our 3D secure Nedbank and Worldpay link portal.
The Nedbank secure link is used for ZAR payments and the WorldPay secure link is used for USD, GBP and Euro payments. The payment is processed via a secure credit card payment portal from Nedbank and Worldpay, which means Fifth Avenue Adventure Tours and their staff do not have access to your credit card details.
We also accept bank transfers into our Nedbank (ZAR) and RBS (USD + GBP + EURO) accounts.
We consider adequate travel insurance to be essential. All premiums must be paid at the time of booking, as cover will not be effective until then. Fifth Avenue 4×4 Adventure Tours trading as East Cape Tours and Safaris will not be liable if anyone should fail to take adequate insurance cover.
Flight/Train travel timings and other timings are provided by airlines and/or railways and are subject to Air Traffic Control restrictions. All means of transportation are subject to weather conditions, the need for constant maintenance, and the ability of passengers to check-in on time. There is no guarantee that flights, ferries, ships, trains or coaches will depart at the times stated on any itinerary, voucher or tickets which you receive. All timings are estimates only, and we do not accept any liability for any delay, however arising, or for any schedule alterations.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you reconfirm the departure date and times of all your flight arrangements and train journeys at least 72 hours prior to departure. This is particularly important in respect of subsequent train journeys in South Africa and flights leaving South Africa. Fifth Avenue 4×4 Adventure Tours trading as East Cape Tours and Safaris.hereby specifically excludes any liability and cannot be held responsible for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages that may arise for any delay and/or travel service provider failure i.e. accommodation needed, car hire, shuttle service and/or any other loss as a result of your failure to reconfirm flight, train journeys and/or connecting flight details.
Documents: (vouchers etc.) are only prepared on receipt of full payment of the package price and will be ready 72 working hours after payment has been received. Should you require hard copies of your documents and air tickets to be forwarded to either yourself or the departure airport and or train station, this may be arranged. These will be sent by e-mail. However, the courier costs in respect thereof will be for your own account.
We hope and expect to be able to provide you with all of the services we have confirmed to you at the time of booking. We plan arrangements a long time in advance of your holiday using independent suppliers such as hotels etc. over whom we have no control. On some occasions, changes do have to be made, and we reserve the right to make these.
